July 30, 2020 Combining Technologies to Enable Organizations to Easily Automate Day-to-Day Operations
eMAM a media asset management software solution, offers clients the ability to ingest media (live and files) into an easy to use platform to organize, produce, collaborate, deliver and archive media projects within an on-premises, cloud or hybrid-based environment. Telestream’s Vantage allows customers to build advance broadcast workflows for media transcoding, assembly and delivery of content to platforms, broadcast systems, and social media. Combining these two software products creates a fully automated end-to-end media production solution to fit the entire range of workflow requirements.
eMAM software comes with a full-featured API integration with Vantage. Administrators are able to define in the Vantage Workflow Designer and quickly apply them to workflows using the eMAM SuperAdmin Interface to create predefined automated workflows for users.
Media coming into eMAM through web upload, a local ingest application, panels/extensions in editing systems, or watch folders can be processed by Vantage to extract metadata and create viewable proxies and house/mezzanine formats according to predefined presets. Additional Vantage workflows can be created to run QC or generate captions to streamline day-to-day operations. These processes can be triggered automatically through metadata changes, approvals, or other changes in eMAM.

Authorized eMAM users can use the eMAM Director web interface to search media using extracted, manually entered, or AI-tagged metadata. They can preview media using one or more quality levels created by Vantage at ingest. Users can use eMAM tools to tag, organize, edit, collaborate, and deliver media from any local, cloud, or hybrid environment.
To trigger Vantage processing, users can click predefined buttons. They can select media for delivery by drag and drop. When they select a destination from a predefined pull-down menu, Vanatage automatically transcodes the original media to the specified format and attaches a metadata sidecar XML. The sidecar metadata XML can used to carry metadata or processing information at the destination.
eMAM administrators can also take advantage of the many Vantage partner plug-ins, such as Vidchecker for QC, Avid Media Composer check-in, newsroom operations and live integrated streaming workflows with Lightspeed Live Streaming & Capture.
New eMAM Live options can include simple live streaming workflows with Telestream’s Wirecast application or the more advanced Telestream Lightspeed Live Stream & Capture servers for full broadcast streaming and VOD production events. eMAM Director users can trigger a live capture event using the Lightspeed Live Capture server integration. Editors can edit streamed media during the capture process and post highlights of an event on any VOD site. eMAM adds the ability to organize and manage all the captures and automate metadata tagging using advanced AI technology.
